A note from the director:

Mourning is part of humanity.  When we set out on our journey of telling this story, I thought about half of the audience would have experienced a significant loss in their life, now I know that all of us have.  COVID-19, the death of Ruth Bater Ginsberg, the loss of live performance, it seems as if 2020 is a year of mourning.

I'm Leaving You My Feet serves to encourage all of us in the slow processing of our grief.  It serves as a reminder that the stages of grief are not linear, nor a neat circle, but rather a lot of squiggly arrows that serve to connect large emotional leaps.  By employing social media and finally Debbie Augenthaler's amazing body of work we look at the ways in which all of us, even in quarantine, can access and process these emotions.  In this digital production the stage is the internet itself.  We hope this small piece helps you in your time of need as it has helped us.

Remember to keep going, and there will be a tomorrow.
